Metal Musicians Speak Out On Illegal Music Downloading
November 3, 2004Holland's Lords of Metal webzine has published a special article regarding illegal music downloading and metal musicians' thoughts and opinions on the subject.
Commented writer Eddy Meuwese: "Since I joined forces with Lords of Metal I came across a lot of interesting bands and artists. I interviewed a lot of them, and one subject I always brought to the table was the illegal downloading of music through the Internet, and what such means for an artist who tries to make a living from his or her music. I mean, it must be utterly frustrating to see that people can obtain you stuff for free, stuff in which you have put so much time, energy and money. Well, pretty soon it became clear this really is a 'hot item' among recording artists, so I decided to write a special about it, just to get our readers aware of this pretty much serious problem. A problem that could become the death of the music business as we know it."
